Who We Are
The Canadian Celtic Arts Association was formed in 1979 to serve as a link between the
diverse Celtic organizations in our community and to promote the following objectives:
- To provide a forum for artistic and literary events, programs and festivals of all the Celtic
communities in Canada - Breton, Cornish, Irish, Manx, Scottish and Welsh - and a meeting place for all persons interested in sharing or knowing more about these cultures.
- To publish a newsletter for the expression of ideas, viewpoints, debates, literary or artistic
reviews, news of Celtic-related events as well as a current calendar of events of public
interest in the Greater Toronto Area and other parts of Canada.
- To maintain an operating fund from membership dues and donations for the financing of
the Association's work.
- To promote and stimulate artistic creation, research and the study of Celtic languages,
history, literature, music, thought and art.
